Green Trolley Table

Description

This piece is made of solid oak; it has a beautiful wood grain on the table top. The rest of the trolley table is painted with milk paint in shades of green. It's slightly distressed revealing some of the wood grain underneath, then it's sealed with antiquing wax which compliments the shades of green and the oak. The table flaps fold up to extend the table and it has a hidden draw at one end underneath. The table is 69 cm x 85 cm when extended. When folded the piece measures 76 cm high x 69 cm wide x 44 cm wide. And it's got wheels!!!

Story

If there was ever an ugly duckling who turned into a swan this was it. She came to me dark brown, dull and dusty and as I cleaned and sanded the beautiful oak woodgrain was revealed. I decided on a few shades of green milk paint in a layering technique, slightly destressed for the legs and some antiquing wax. And then I just had to keep the top in its natural state, because it was about time that this beautiful wood grain deserved to shine.
